Издательство Ubisoft совместно с компаниями Ludia Inc. и Classic Media анонсировало игру по мотивам популярной на Западе детской книжной серии Where's Waldo?. Каждая книга в ней представляет собой набор картинок, на которых среди пестрых людей и животных читатель должен отыскать главного героя по имени Вальдо.
Игра Where's Waldo? The Fantastic Journey строится по тому же принципу – на появляющихся на экране красочных изображениях пользователь должен искать Вальдо, его друзей и различные предметы. Удивительно, но в головоломке предусмотрен даже мультиплеер для четверых участников. Соперники должны выполнять поисковые задания на скорость, помогая себе и мешая друг другу с помощью различных бонусов.
